- A registered company with a BRN, two years of accounts, turnover from Rs 12M and employees on payroll.
- Processing, packing, bottling or production with equipment and a payroll inside the company.
- Supply from growers and sales to distributors or retailers under arrangements the company holds.
What does not belong here
Agricultural land, a plantation or a packing shed sold on its own. Land and premises are property transactions and belong on property sites.
What to ask beyond the admission check
- Food safety and health registrations, and whether any certification is in the owner's name.
- Whether the land or the plant is owned by the company, leased, or held privately by the owner.
- Raw material supply: how many growers, on what terms, and what happens in a bad season.
- Cold chain and equipment condition, and the cost of the next required upgrade.
