What belongs here
- A registered company with a BRN, two years of accounts, turnover from Rs 12M and staff on payroll.
- Freight forwarding, customs clearing, haulage, warehousing or courier operations run as a going concern.
- Agency agreements, customs licences and client relationships that survive the owner's departure.
What does not belong here
A truck or a fleet sold as vehicles, or a warehouse sold with its lease. Assets and premises on their own are a different deal and belong on a classifieds or property site.
What to ask beyond the admission check
- Which customs and port licences the company holds, and whether they transfer with the shares.
- The overseas agency agreements, and whether any of them names the owner personally.
- Fleet age, finance outstanding on vehicles, and what is owned versus subcontracted.
- How much turnover is one shipping line, one importer or one government contract.
